Verstappen won the US Formula 1 Grand Prix and repeated the record for the number of victories in a season

Dutch driver Max Verstappen (Red Bull) won the 19th stage of the Formula 1 championship, the US Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) took second place, Lando Norris (McLaren) took third place.
For the Dutchman, the victory was the 50th in his career. Only the Frenchman Alain Prost (51), the Germans Sebastian Vettel (53) and Michael Schumacher (91) and the Briton Lewis Hamilton (103) have more victories. The victory this season was Verstappen’s 15th. Thus, he repeated his record from last season. Previously, the records belonged to Schumacher and Vettel (13 each).
The next round of the Formula 1 championship will take place in Mexico on October 27–29.
Following the results of the last Formula 1 stage, Max Verstappen became the world champion ahead of schedule. This is his third title in his career. His Red Bull team also secured early victory in the Constructors’ Championship.
