Verstappen wins Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix and secures Red Bull’s 100th win

Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the Canadian Grand Prix, the eighth round of the Formula 1 World Championship. The victory was the 100th for the Red Bull team. Spanish Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso was second, while Briton Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes was third.
Verstappen won the Canadian Grand Prix for the second time. The record holder for victories in this race are Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton (seven victories each). The Dutchman has consolidated his lead in the World Cup with 195 points now. In second place is another Red Bull pilot, Mexican Sergio Perez (126), in third is Fernando Alonso (117).
Red Bull has been in Formula 1 since 2005. Since then, the team has won the Constructors’ Championship five times (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2022). Two of its pilots became world champions in the individual competition: four times Sebastian Vettel (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013) and two times Max Verstappen (2021, 2022).
The next Formula 1 round will take place in Austria from June 30 to July 2.
