Veniamin Kondratiev congratulated Kuban athletes on their victory at the Russian Sambo Championship

Governor of Kuban Veniamin Kondratiev congratulated juniors from the Krasnodar Territory on their victory at the Russian Sambo Championship. The competitions were held in September at the center of martial arts G.N. Troshev in Armavir. More than 679 girls and boys from 14 to 16 years old from 43 constituent entities of the Russian Federation took part in the tournament. The Kuban national team was represented by 30 sambists.

The Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratyev, said that Kuban juniors won 9 medals in the championship. Of these, 4 are gold, 2 are silver and 3 are bronze. Thus, the first place in sparring in the 44 kg category was taken by Daria Primak, in the 50 kg category – by Valeriya Kozlova, in the 64 kg category – by Rustam Hathoku, in the 77+ kg category by Valery Nizhegorodova. Silver medals went to Ekaterina Zhdanova in the 54 kg category and Yuri Shkhalakhov in the up to 71 kg category. Artyom Yavrumyan (49 kg), Nazar Morozov (53 kg) and Tatyana Tsvetova (54 kg) became bronze medalists.

Veniamin Kondratyev noted that in the Krasnodar Territory they are trying to create all conditions for the disclosure of the youth’s sports potential. For example, new sports complexes and martial arts centers are being built in the region, swimming pools are being built and existing institutions are being repaired. The head of the region stressed that the latest achievements of the Kuban athletes demonstrate that the region is on the right track. The governor congratulated the juniors on their victory and wished them further success.
