Velsk took part in the “Heroes of the Fatherland” tournament

An interregional martial arts tournament dedicated to military personnel participating in a special military operation was held in the format of a teleconference in 15 cities of Russia.
– For the first time in history, sports federations of Russian regions met in one tournament to honor modern defenders of the Fatherland and pay tribute to the memory of the fallen heroes of our country. The teleconference allowed us to see the skills of athletes in various martial arts, and, what is very important, to hear the stories of the exploits of the participants of the Northern Military District, said Alexander Dyatlov, a deputy of the Arkhangelsk Regional Assembly.
In Velsk on this day they remembered the heroes – holders of the Order of Courage, in whose honor the tournament was held.
Viktor Bulatov died during the SVO on May 22, 2022, and Dmitry Shchegurov died while performing combat missions in the North Caucasus on December 31, 1999
