According to Vedomosti, during the election campaign, United Russia is going to bet on people with experience in participating in the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine. “It is no coincidence that some of the deputies went to new territories as volunteers,” said a source close to the State Duma.
On September 10, regional elections will be held in Russia. They will elect 20 heads of regions in direct elections, five more in indirect ones. There will also be elections for 20 regional legislative assemblies. Including elections will be held in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, which were annexed to Russia on September 30, 2022.
