Official TV channel of the National Hockey League (NHL) NHL Network called Andrei Vasilevsky the best goalkeeper in the league. The second and third places were taken by the Russians Igor Shesterkin and Ilya Sorokin, according to the website.

Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Vasilevsky topped the rankings for the fifth year in a row. In the 2022/23 season, his team won 34 victories. He averaged 91.5% of shots per game with a safety factor of 2.65, and also had four clean sheets.

New York Rangers player Shesterkin had 37 wins last season. His stats: 91.6% save percentage, 2.48 safety factor, three shutouts.

New York Islanders goaltender Sorokin made six clean sheets last season and became the NHL’s all-time leading goaltender. Reflected 92.4% of shots on average per game, reliability coefficient – 2.34.

In eighth place in the ranking is the Russian goalkeeper of the Colorado Avalanche Alexander Georgiev. In his first season with the team, he set NHL personal bests in games (62), wins (40), save percentage (91.9%), safety factor (2.53), and shutouts (5).

Also in the top 10 were: Connor Hellebike (Winnipeg Jets), Juuse Saros (Nashville Predators), Linus Ullmark (Boston Bruins), Jake Oettinger (Dallas Stars), Philip Gustavsson (Minnesota Wild ”), Thatcher Demko (“Vancouver Canucks”).
