The monument to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU Leonid Brezhnev was ruined with paint in the city of Kamenskoye, Dnepropetrovsk region. This is reported by the Ukrainian edition of “Zerkalo Nedeli”.

An unknown vandal applied the word “Dismantle” on the bust at night with yellow-blue paints. The incident occurred at the site of the Museum of the history of the city.

The publication notes that a few weeks ago, in accordance with the law on decommunization, the bust was moved from the square on the central Svoboda Avenue.

Now local residents are unhappy that the monument to the Soviet leader was once again moved instead of being dismantled.
