Valve has launched beta testing of “Counter-Strike 2” and plans to release the game in the summer of 2023

American game developer Valve has announced that it plans to release Counter-Strike 2, a team-based shooter, this summer. The company also announced the launch of a beta test and presented on site game innovations of the second part of the game series.
On Steam gaming service support (Valve owned) clarifythat the beta test will be attended by players that the developers will choose based on several factors. These include recent play time on official Valve servers, “trust factor” and Steam account status.
The company reported that several mechanics have been improved in the new part of “Counter-Strike”. In particular, the developers updated the engine, changed the smoke physics, improved the tick rate (the frequency with which the server updates the game data), and also supplemented or recreated game maps from scratch. All user items from the previous game in the series, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, will be kept in the new part.
