The side of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva wants to file a protest against the results of the free program at the Russian Grand Prix stage in Kazan in women’s single skating, reports “RIA News” citing a source close to the situation. According to the results of the Grand Prix in Kazan, Valieva took fourth place, scoring 213.59 points.
According to the agency, in the free program Valieva made two technical errors: she lost her balance during a slide and repeated elements. The deducted points did not allow the skater to enter the top three at the Grand Prix.
At the Grand Prix stage in Kazan, Sofya Muravyova won in women’s single skating (scored 228.81 points), Alina Gorbacheva took second place (219.02), and Daria Sadkova took third (214.54).
