Valieva answered the question about conscious doping

Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva, in an interview with the Japanese channel NHK, commented on the question of whether she took doping consciously. She said she tried to follow the rules.
“I can say that I did not take doping consciously. I tried to follow the rules. I was going to the Olympic Games and thought that this would be a wonderful celebration of sports. “I received different emotions and attitude,” the athlete said.
During the CAS hearing Valieva named several versions doping gets into her hands. According to her, prohibited substances could have accidentally gotten into the dessert prepared by her grandfather, and also that competitors could have mixed in the doping.
Valieva’s period of disqualification starts from December 2021, when the positive doping test was taken, and ends in December 2025.
