Valentina Matvienko called cashback a “bad word”
As part of parliamentary hearings on the topic: “State policy in the field of preservation, protection and development of the Russian language: status, problems and solutions” in the Federation Council, speaker Valentina Matvienko said that cashback is a bad word.
We should abandon useless foreign borrowings, which have analogues in the Russian language – cashback, coffee breaks, etc., Matvienko believes.
She noted negative trends – domestic business in terms imitates the “bankrupt” Western one, this fashion is dead, it’s time to abandon it. The Speaker of the Federation Council also drew attention to the shortage of Russian language teachers in the CIS and abroad – despite the fact that many want to learn Russian.
