Vaikule spoke about Rotaru being “safe”

At the end of July, the singer, Soviet pop star Laima Vaikule organized the Rendezvous festival. She invited performers from Ukraine to this event. One of the celebrities who were given such a part, as it turned out, was the legend of the Soviet stage Sofia Rotaru. However, the famous performer of the hits “Khutoryanka”, “Chervona Ruta”, “Stork on the Roof” and many others did not come. There were rumors that there was a conflict between the stars, according to the portal Teleprogramma.pro.

Vaikule herself, according to the publication, is unhappy that Rotaru did not come. However, the Latvian celebrity expressed the hope that the connection with the legend of the Soviet stage will still be established.

“They wrote all sorts of nonsense about Sofa and me, they say, we have a bad relationship,” said Vaikule. “There is no reason for such talk.” The Latvian celebrity stressed that she knows that Rotaru is safe, and that’s enough for her. “If she wants, she can always call, but I don’t like to impose,” Vaikule added. “The time will come, I hope, and Sofa will come to us if she wants to.”

Formerly MK informedthat the Latvian singer posted a video on her microblog, in which she called the Russians slaves, ignoramuses and nasty people, “who cannot be given words.” This is how Vaikule reacted to critical comments from fans addressed to her after the Rendezvous music festival, which she organized in Jurmala. At 69, the star does not want to waste her time on the negative messages of the inhabitants of Russia, the singer emphasized.
