Vadim Evseev dismissed from the post of head coach of the Fakel football club (Voronezh)

In the Russian Premier League, there was a third resignation of the head coach. After the seventh round of the championship, Vadim Evseev completed his work with Fakel Voronezh. He helped the team to maintain a residence permit in the elite at the end of last season, but this season it again had problems. Now Fakel occupies the penultimate, 15th place in the RPL and, apparently, will again fight for survival.

After the head coaches were changed “Akhmat” And “Orenburg”, Fakel made a similar personnel reshuffle. Management of the Voronezh club announced about the resignation of Vadim Evseev, whose position seemed to be quite strong, and even starting failures should not have shaken them.

However, the 47-year-old specialist lasted only seven rounds, in which his team scored four points, dropping to 15th place.

At the same time, the Voronezh team are now in the relegation zone not only in the championship, but also in the Russian Cup, occupying the last, fourth place in group A.

Indeed, something went wrong at Fakel this season. He suffered four defeats in a row in the RPL, although in the Cup, after an unsuccessful start, he managed to defeat CSKA on the road. And then came the first victory in the championship – over Paris Nizhny Novgorod.

In the next round, the Voronezh team also played a draw – 0:0 – with the leader of the Premier League Krasnodar. But soon they lost in the cup meeting to Orenburg, and in the seventh round of the championship they flew by the Wings of the Soviets. 0:3 in Samara, apparently, led to the understanding that urgent measures are required to overcome the crisis.

True, the club did not name the reason for Evseev’s resignation. The official press release only says that Fakel is very grateful to the coach, especially for helping the team stay in the Premier League. Evseev really saved Voronezh from relegation last season, leading them a month before the end of the championship. Play-offs with the representative of the first division, which became the Krasnoyarsk Enisey, could not be avoided, but in them Fakel did not give reason to doubt its superiority.

However, it was initially clear that the Voronezh club was again in for a difficult season. Still, in terms of its financial capabilities, it does not even reach the level of the average RPL, and its composition is the most modest among the participants in the current championship. So, according to Transfermarkt, the total cost of the Torch players is estimated at € 9.93 million, and this is the 16th figure in the Premier League. For comparison, Baltika, which is ranked 15th in the corresponding rating, has a €14.35 million squad. Therefore, it is not surprising that the blue-whites are once again faced with the need to fight for survival.

By the way, in the last championship “Torch” fired head coach Oleg Vasilenko after eight rounds.

Then these duties were performed by his assistant Dmitry Pyatibratov, and Evseev was the third mentor for the season. And here again the same leapfrog begins in the team. Moreover, information appeared that the same Vasilenko, who is now successfully working with Alania in the first league, may return to Voronezh. Vladikavkaz are leading under his leadership, gaining 19 points in eight matches, and claim a direct ticket to the RPL.

In addition, among the likely candidates for the post of Fakel head coach are Igor Cherevchenko, known for his work with Lokomotiv, Tula Arsenal and Khimki, as well as Vadim Garanin, who failed to gain a foothold last season in ” Sochi.
