Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk said he was going to fight British boxer Tyson Fury and compete for the title of absolute world heavyweight boxing champion.
Previously, Usyk won a rematch against Anthony Joshua, which allowed him to retain his world titles according to the World Boxing Association (WBA Super), World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF) and International Boxing Organization (IBO) in heavy weight. The judges gave the victory to the Ukrainian by a split decision.
As for Fury, he is the World Boxing Council (WBC) world champion. Earlier, the Briton has repeatedly said that he no longer plans to enter the ring.
35-year-old Usyk after defeating Joshua has 20 wins in 20 fights. Their first fight took place in September 2021 and ended with Usyk’s victory by unanimous decision.
