People’s Artist of Russia, announcer of the USSR Central Television Svetlana Morgunova died at the age of 84 on the morning of March 10 due to a detached blood clot, reported TASS close friend of TV presenter Vera Musatova.

According to information “Moskovsky Komsomolets”, Mrs. Morgunova suddenly felt ill and lost consciousness at about 14:00 Moscow time. Doctors were called to her, but they were unable to save the TV presenter. She has been ill in recent years, MK reports.

Svetlana Morgunova was born on March 6, 1940 in Moscow. She studied at the theater studio at the Mossovet Theater. Ms. Morgunova became an announcer on Central Television in 1961. On the channel, in particular, she hosted episodes of the music programs “Blue Light” and “Morning Mail”.
