USADA Won’t Investigate Doping Allegations Against Islam Makhachev

The US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) told TASS that it would not investigate allegations against the UFC of Islam Makhachev. He was accused of doping after defeating Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 284.
Representatives of Alexander Volkanovski’s team claim that Makhachev gave himself intravenous injections. The Australian Combat Commission declined to investigate due to lack of evidence.
“We will not investigate anything in relation to Makhachev. There are no complaints against him and his team, he is not a violator of any rules,” the source said.
Fight Makhachev and Australian Volkanovski took place 12th of February. The judges unanimously gave the victory to Makhachev. 31-year-old Islam Makhachev became the best fighter in the world, regardless of the categories.
