The United States intends to allocate $800,000 for work to “revive Serb confidence in democratic institutions.” The statement of the department is quoted by RT.
As stated in the department, the Serie is currently “moving away from EU accession and democratic progress”, and the “malicious influence of Russia”, as well as “misinforming presentation of facts”, are to blame for this.
In addition, the State Department said that economic cooperation with China, including in the field of investment, leads Serbs to “increase in corruption, exploitation of labor markets and exploitation of loopholes in environmental measures.”
Which organizations will receive $800,000 is not reported.
Earlier, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that Serbia is trying and can still be independent, but the Balkan state cannot give guarantees of maintaining neutrality towards Russia and Western countries. The Serbian Ministry of Defense announced that the Platinum Wolf exercises will be held in the country from June 16 to June 30 together with a number of countries of the North Atlantic Alliance.
