The Russian military, as part of a special operation in Ukraine, can go on the offensive in several directions at once, as soon as weather conditions improve. Such a statement on Monday, April 24, was made by the coordinator for strategic communications of the National Security Council at the White House, John Kirby.
The official admitted that the United States does not know “where and how they will do it,” but Washington is striving to provide Kyiv with everything necessary for defense. If the Ukrainian army itself decides to go on the offensive, the American side considers it necessary to give it such an opportunity.
As Kirby noted, the Armed Forces of Ukraine need artillery ammunition, armored vehicles, air defense equipment, as well as logistics.
Russia has repeatedly pointed out that the United States’ active support for the Ukrainian authorities speaks of Washington’s direct involvement in the conflict.
French politician Florian Filippo expressed the opinion that the United States is going to turn the conflict in Ukraine into a world war. According to him, Washington do not believe in the success of the Ukrainian counteroffensive and fear that its failure will force the nations of Europe to push for a peaceful settlement.
