US Navy employee admits to passing classified information to China

A US Navy employee admitted to transferring classified information to China for money, RIA Novosti reports citing the California State Attorney’s Office.
As noted, the employee named Zhao Wenheng is ethnic Chinese.
He was charged with federal criminal offenses and pleaded guilty. He reportedly passed on classified military information to a Chinese intelligence officer, receiving a monetary reward in return. The information he conveyed concerned the security of the American fleet, maneuvers and critical infrastructure.
The total amount of money he received reached almost 15 thousand dollars. He received rewards at least 14 times.
