US imposes blocking sanctions against 11 Russian banks

The US Treasury Department has published a complete list of companies and individuals included in the new package of US sanctions against Russia. Earlier, the White House officially announced that the United States and the G7 countries are imposing sanctions against more than 200 legal entities and individuals.
As follows from the document, several major Russian banks were included in the sanctions list at once, including MCB, St. Petersburg, Uralsib, Zenit, and MTS Bank.
Restrictions also apply to Lanta-bank, Metallinvestbank, banks Levoberezhny, Primorye, SDM-bank and UBRD.
Zenit Finance, Zenit Leasing and Zenit Factoring SMEs controlled by Zenit Bank were also included in the blocking package.
The SDN List includes the investment company “Veles Capital” and a number of related legal entities and individuals.
Bankers Ulan Ilishkin, Evgenia Tyurikova, Alina Nazarova are listed among individuals.
