US cancels flight tests of hypersonic weapons

The United States Department has decided not to test the first hypersonic missile in the arsenal of the US military. This was reported in the Pentagon.

“The Department planned to conduct flight tests at the Space Force station at Cape Canaveral … but as a result of pre-flight inspections, the tests did not take place,” the US agency said in a Bloomberg statement.

The material described the cancellation of tests as a failure of Washington, as the states intended to catch up with China in the field of hypersonic weapons.

The United States is developing weapons with a range of 2.78 kilometers. It consists of a ground-based missile and has equipment for transporting projectiles.
