US authorities want to arrest Boeing owned by Lukoil

The US Department of Justice registered an arrest warrant for a Boeing 737-7EM airliner owned by the Russian oil company Lukoil.
As specified on the agency’s website, the confiscation was authorized by a ruling from the District Court for the Southern District of Texas. The judge’s decision is based on the fact that the plane flew to and from Russia, violating sanctions imposed by the US Department of Commerce.
It follows from the case file that the airliner last flew to the United States in March 2019. Then official representatives of LUKOIL arrived in Houston from Russia. Presumably, now the liner is in the territory of the Russian Federation. The US Department of Justice estimated its cost at about $45 million.
The forfeiture case is under the control of the FBI office in Houston, as well as the Bureau of Industry and Security of the Department of Commerce and the Department of Internal Affairs of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
