The US Secret Service has put Russian Alexei Stroganov, also known as Flint, on the wanted list. He is suspected of conspiracy to hack computer networks.

American authorities believe that from May 2007 to July 2017, Stroganov was involved in hacking the networks of individuals and companies to steal debit and credit card numbers, as well as personal data of the holders of these cards.

The damage caused by these actions in the United States is estimated at $35 million.

In December 2023, it was reported that the Flint cyber fraudster will be tried in the Kaluga region. A case was sent to the regional military garrison court about the organization of a criminal community that was engaged in dishonestly taking money from the population. According to investigators, Flint, also known as Andrei Stroganov, was the leader of the group.

The Central Bank of the Russian Federation previously said that scammers in 2023 kidnapped in Russia from bank clients 15.8 billion rubles, which is 11.5% higher than the 2022 figure of 14.2 billion rubles.
