US asks Russia for information on Greiner’s whereabouts

US State Department spokesman Ned Price, speaking to reporters, said that Washington had sent a request to Moscow about the whereabouts of American basketball player Brittney Griner convicted in the Russian Federation.
“We … requested additional information about Greiner’s whereabouts and clarified our expectations regarding the conditions of her detention,” he said.
Price also expressed the hope that the US citizen will be kept in as favorable conditions as possible.
