The US and Israeli authorities have scheduled negotiations on April 1 on a possible military operation by the Israeli military in the city of Rafah, CNN reports.
The meeting will reportedly take place in Washington at a high level.
It is noted that the meeting was initially cancelled, but then the Israeli authorities again came up with a proposal to hold it.
Previously, the United States has repeatedly opposed the Israeli operation in Rafah. Washington called on Israeli authorities to develop and present a “credible” plan to protect Palestinian civilians in the city amid fighting.
