The United States and Finland have entered into an agreement to expand defense cooperation to improve military cooperation and enhance NATO’s effectiveness.
The document was signed by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen, the State Department reports.
“Once the agreement comes into force, militaries will be able to collaborate more effectively and efficiently, troops will have more opportunities to train together, and NATO’s interoperability will be strengthened,” Blinken said.
Let us remind you that Finland became a NATO member in April 2023.
