Uralmash won the first match under the leadership of a new coach

The Yekaterinburg basketball club “Uralmash” won a home match of the regular championship of the United League against Perm “Parma”.

The game, which took place on December 25, was the first for the “factory” team under the leadership of the Belarusian specialist Rostislav Vergun. At the same time, the guests won six victories in a row before this match. However, the beginning of the meeting was left to Uralmash, which made a 10:3 breakthrough. The guests were able to reduce the gap, and in the second quarter they took the lead for the first time. But the teams went into the big break with a seven-point home advantage – 42:35.

Subsequently, Uralmash did not give up the lead, and at times the lead in the score reached 16 points. In the end, Parma was able to return to the game, but the Perm team failed to catch up with the factory team. The final siren recorded the victory of the “orange-black-greens” 81:75.

The next match of the championship will be played by the Ekaterinburg team at home on January 7 against BC Minsk. But before the end of the year, Uralmash will have two matches in the 1/8 finals of the Russian Cup against University-Yugra from Surgut. On December 27, the teams will play in Yekaterinburg, and on December 28 – in Verkhnyaya Pyshma. The winner of the confrontation will be determined by the sum of two games.
