Unusual table tennis tournament was held in Barnaul

On September 13, Barnaul hosted an unusual table tennis tournament Do Good for the first time. It fought children from the rehabilitation center “Solnyshko” with well-known public figures in the region, politicians, businessmen and journalists.
As explained Head of the inpatient department of the rehabilitation center “Solnyshko” Daria Kormilitsina, in the institution there are children who find themselves in a difficult life situation. Most children are brought up in single-parent families. Children with disabilities also took part in the tournament, Tolk writes.
Many pupils of the center were already prepared for the tournament. They trained at the Sibenergomash Palace of Culture under the guidance of qualified coaches from the Table Tennis Federation of the Altai Territory as part of a charity project.
“We can all do well to be kinder to each other, especially to children. We hope that such tournaments will help children find new friends, fall in love with sports and tune in to the positive, which many of them lack now,” said Alexey Perfilyev, ex-minister of sports of the region, chairman of the supervisory board of the regional table tennis federation.
Among the participants of the tournament was Lev Korshunov, adviser to the rector of AltSTU. He even had to take time off from work to participate in it.
A high place in the competition was taken by the team pChairman of the AKZS Committee on Education and Science Alexander Molotov.
Also one of the most titled bodybuilders of the region Alexander Barbashin took part in the tournament. After the award, he invited the pupils of the rehabilitation center “Solnyshko” to a master class in the gym.
The event was held at the initiative of the regional table tennis federation with the support of the regional Ministry of Social Protection.
