The State Duma will hold an unscheduled meeting of the Council remotely on August 11, RIA Novosti reports, citing a source. Whether there will be a plenary meeting after that is still unclear. According to Kommersant’s sources in the State Duma, “there will probably be a regular turnover” with the distribution of bills submitted over the past three weeks. The meeting will be held in absentia, the members of the Council will vote by poll. The exact date, says the Kommersant source, is still unknown, as well as the specific agenda.
On July 15, an extraordinary plenary session was held in the State Duma. At it, the deputies adopted several bills, as well as approved approval of the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov as Deputy Prime Minister. After that, Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin allowed holding another unscheduled plenary session of the lower house of parliament.
