Universities launch student entrepreneurship program

It is expected that as a result of the work of the site, students will gain experience working with future employers, as well as the opportunity to enter the market with their products. And companies offer interesting technological solutions for their cases.

As noted at the university, they have long been looking for an opportunity to connect business and students on one platform, helping both of them to solve each other’s problems. Dozens of organizations have already expressed their consent to participate in the project, including banks, IT enterprises, companies working in the field of artificial intelligence, robotics, data analysis and recommender systems, and computer vision.

According to the rectors of the MISIS University Alevtina Chernikova, the task of the university is to give students a single tool for building a professional trajectory: firstly, this is fundamental knowledge, secondly, to immerse them in research activities, and thirdly, to help them gain experience in solving real business -tasks.

– At the NUST MISIS Student Technological Entrepreneurship Platform Project, young people will implement interdisciplinary projects at the request of businesses in the field of materials science, information technology, ecology, etc. University students will be able to conduct applied research, offer leading companies innovative solutions to the tasks set, receive methodological, organizational and educational support from university experts and leading business companies. Services for the interaction between NUST MISIS and business are united by a single IT platform,” said the rector.

Students of any level of training and course can take part in the project. Teams that have passed the pre-selection will work for six months with the support of experts and mentors in order to defend their projects in August 2023. For this, an individual educational trajectory will be formed for each project participant, conducive to the successful solution of the task.

Students can submit the best solutions in the “Startup as a Diploma” or “Project as a Diploma” format to defend their final qualification work.
