United Russia wants to save jobs in case of demobilization

United Russia, together with the Cabinet of Ministers, has developed a bill on the preservation of jobs for the participants in the special operation, said Andrey Krasov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense. Conscription for military service is the basis for termination of an employment contract (Article 83 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation). Accordingly, after the announcement of partial mobilization, about 300,000 people may lose their jobs – in any case, this is how many people, according to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, are subject to conscription from the reserve.

“All the goals and objectives of the military special operation (SVO) will be fulfilled,” Krasov said. – Naturally, there will be demobilization, and some citizens have fears that they will not be able to return to their workplace. United Russia is working with the government on an initiative to address these concerns.” He also said that, according to the document already sent to the government for feedback, citizens who fell under the mobilization and serve under the contract are guaranteed to receive all the required social benefits.
