“United Russia” nominated Acting Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov to the post of head of the region, reported in the party’s Telegram channel.
The participants of the preliminary voting within the framework of the party forum in Krasnoyarsk on June 12 presented their programs for participation in the elections of the governor of the region, the delegates of the regional conference supported the candidacy of Kotyukov, the report says. The acting governor said that the party’s program for the September elections will be drawn up together with experts based on an analysis of the instructions of the residents.
Preliminary voting candidates, in addition to Kotyukov, become Head of the Krasnoyarsk Railway Alexei Tumanin, Head of Zelenogorsk Mikhail Speransky, Rector of the Siberian University of Science and Technology Edkham Akbulatov and Chief Physician of the Krasnoyarsk Ambulance Station Sergey Skripkin.
Kotyukov headed the region after the early resignation of Alexander Uss on April 20. Kotyukov is a former Deputy Minister of Finance and ex-head of the Federal Agency for Scientific Organizations (FASO) of Russia. Back in 2017, when the then governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Viktor Tolokonsky, resigned, Kotyukov was named one of the candidates for the post of head of the region. Acting Governor was born in Krasnoyarsk, and in 2007-2010. was the deputy governor of the region.
