Members of the United Russia party in Novosibirsk sent sledgehammers to participants in a special military operation in Ukraine. At the same time, they emphasized that PMC Wagner had nothing to do with it, there was no hint here. Comments of Novosibirsk representatives of the ruling party on this matter published on Thursday, February 16, Telegram-channel “Rise”.

“This is a necessary tool, and Wagner has nothing to do with it,” United Russia said. – Here you need to put up tents, carry out various works. What Wagner does with this sledgehammer does not concern. Representatives of the Novosibirsk branch of the ruling party added that entrenching tools, including sledgehammers, picks, shovels, crowbars, must be present in the units, since many of them actually live in trenches, dugouts and shelters.

On the Internet, a sledgehammer in the hands of the military acquired a special symbolism after the murder of a former prisoner who became a fighter for the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Nuzhin, who voluntarily surrendered to Ukrainian captivity, turned out to be a defector. He even recorded a video with a story about his escape. Some time later, Kyiv announced that Yevgeny Nuzhin was returned back to Russia during the exchange of prisoners of war, after which former colleagues dealt with him, allegedly for treason, by recording the execution on video. However, as before informed “MK”, ​​the founder of the private military company “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin said that Ukraine did not return Nuzhin back to Russia. He pointed out that representatives of the US CIA could carry out the execution of the defector Nuzhin, using the resources of the SBU, in whose hands the former “Wagnerian” was. This was done to discredit the PMC, but did not achieve its goal. Prigozhin himself, upon the publication of a video recording of the massacre of Nuzhin, appealed to the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and called for an investigation into the incident.
