United Russia introduced a bill providing credit holidays to mobilized entrepreneurs

Submitted to the State Duma by United Russia bill expanding the grounds for granting credit holidays to mobilized Russians. According to the document, the benefit applies to owners of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) serving in the zone of military operations in Ukraine.
The explanatory note to the draft law states that the number of LLCs – SMEs with a single male owner not younger than 18 and not older than 60 years old, who simultaneously performs the functions of the sole executive body, is 797 thousand.
As of September 1 this year, 71.4 thousand such SMEs had debts on loans, their loan portfolio amounted to 1.18 trillion rubles. — about 15% of the total portfolio of SMEs.
In order to receive a “loan vacation”, business owners will need to apply to the lender with the appropriate requirement, as well as confirm the actual implementation of the activity.
How informed Andrey Turchak, one of the authors of the initiative, Secretary of the General Council of United Russia, said that the bill would help to maintain the activity and solvency of a large number of legal entities. According to him, the document also provides for the suspension of enforcement proceedings against those mobilized on their debts.
Earlier provide credit holidays and tax deferrals to entrepreneurs promised Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. According to the government’s plan, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Bank of Russia and the Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) should develop an appropriate federal law.
The general law on credit holidays for participants in the military operation in Ukraine was approved Federation Council October 4. According to the document, credit holidays are provided for those mobilized within the framework of partial mobilization, contractors and volunteers.
