The Presidium of the General Council of United Russia has suspended the membership of the deputy of the Kostroma Regional Duma, Ikhtiyar Mirzoev, who owns the burned-out Polygon restaurant in Kostroma. This is reported on site parties.

“The Presidium of the General Council adopted the decision on the basis of the recommendation of the United Russia commission on ethics, taking into account the particularly grave consequences of the tragedy and the subsequent wide public outcry. The personal statement of Ikhtiyar Mirzoev with a request to suspend membership, with which he applied to the General Council of United Russia, was also taken into account.
The fire in the restaurant “Polygon” occurred on the night of November 5, as a result, 13 people died. Three criminal cases have been opened, and two suspects have been arrested at the moment: Natalia Belenogova, the director of the cafe that organized the work of the Empire LLC, and Stanislav Ionkin, a serviceman, who, according to investigators, fired a rocket launcher indoors. Natalya Belenogova is charged with providing services that do not meet safety requirements, which negligently caused the death of two or more persons, Stanislav Ionkin – causing death by negligence of two or more persons.
There are no suspects in the criminal case of negligence, which negligently caused the death of two or more persons. Ikhtiyar Mirzoev has the status of a witness in the criminal case. During the interrogation, he claimed that he had nothing to do with the Empire company, to which he rented the premises where the Polygon was located. He expressed condolences to the relatives of the victims and promised to help them. Criminal cases, on behalf of the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) Alexander Bastrykin, were transferred to the central office of the department.
