United Russia deputies advised to congratulate newborns on Russia Day

State Duma deputies from United Russia were advised to celebrate the Day of Russia, hold receptions of citizens on issues of motherhood and childhood, and also meet with the winners of the primaries before the start of the election campaign. This is stated in the recommendations for deputies of the United Russia faction for the regional week (runs from June 5 to June 11), which were reviewed by Vedomosti. Their authenticity was confirmed by one of the party deputies, as well as the deputy head of the Duma faction, Yevgeny Revenko.

United Russia was advised, in particular, to take part in regional events related to the Day of Russia (celebrated on June 12): receptions, presentation of awards and passports to young citizens. It is proposed to “congratulate the newborns on this day.” The deputies should not forget that “in the context of ongoing external pressure on the country” this holiday “gained additional relevance as a symbol of pride in their country, which was the only one on the planet that openly challenged the unjust world order led by the hegemon.”

In the public reception rooms of the party during the regional week they will talk about issues of supporting motherhood and childhood. Deputies should inform people about the measures taken by the state in this area. “June 1 is Motherhood and Childhood Day. Many deputies started this regional week by visiting children’s holiday camps, I myself was in the Lily of the Valley camp in the Voronezh region, where 300 children from the Belgorod region are now accommodated,” Revenko told Vedomosti. Every year, deputies of the faction take part in events related to the Day of Russia, and this year attention should be paid to them “taking into account special circumstances,” he says.

The Duma United Russia members were also offered to hold meetings with the winners and participants of the primaries at the headquarters of the party’s public support. “It is especially important for the party to emphasize that those who participated in the preliminary voting, but did not win, are its personnel reserve and ideological support,” the recommendations say.

At the federal, regional and local levels, coordination is needed so that voters notice what the party has been doing for a month, says Konstantin Kostin, head of the Civil Society Development Fund. “Regional weeks are also used to promote the program of the party. Moreover, it is important to work not only before the elections, but also in the inter-election period, when the basic support of the party and its representatives is being formed,” he notes.

In addition, United Russia members have been given traditional advice. They are connected with the implementation of the “people’s program” of the party, support for the families of the participants in the special operation (“while the fighters with weapons in their hands are defending the country, they must be sure that their families are not left alone, provided with support and care,” United Russia should remember), assistance in purchase of equipment and ammunition for combatants. The recommendations note that the fourth report to the president from the working group on special operation issues, headed by First Vice Speaker of the Federation Council Andrei Turchak, proposes a single standard for regional measures to support participants in the special operation and their families. It is proposed to include benefits for participants in the special operation to pay transport tax, benefits for their families to pay housing and communal services, free psychological assistance, priority enrollment of children of participants in the special operation in aftercare, sports sections, etc.
