Chernyshenko: a single hotline in Russia received 70% more calls on June 24

Russians massively rushed to call a single hotline on June 24th. On that day, it received 70 percent more calls than usual. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko at a meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

According to the official, 2.5 thousand calls were made to number 122. The subject of the appeals is not specified. However, in the fall of last year, the unified hotline was redesigned for calls on issues of partial mobilization. Previously, it also worked as an information center on coronavirus issues.

Recall that on June 24, the CTO regime was introduced in several regions of Russia. This happened after the Wagner PMC captured the headquarters of the Southern Military District in Rostov-on-Don. Law enforcement agencies described these actions as an armed rebellion.
