The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) demanded that information about children be removed from the database of the Peacemaker portal.
Vasily Nebenzya, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, during a meeting of the UN Security Council said that the Peacemaker database contains the personal data of 327 children.
UNICEF is ready to take all steps to protect the interests of children, the press service of the Fund said. Any disclosure of information about a child is unacceptable.
In addition, the Fund once again emphasized that the Ukrainian conflict is a crisis in the protection of children and the rights of the child. This, according to representatives, is a devastating tragedy for everyone, especially for children.
