The United Nations said that the population of the Earth has already reached 8 billion people, writes RBC.
According to UN forecasts, by 2030 there will be 8.5 billion people on the planet, and in 2050 the world’s population will grow to 9.7 billion.
Further, until 2080, it will grow and, having reached the number of 1.4 billion people, will remain so until 2100.
Over the next 30 years, more than half of the world’s population growth will come from eight countries, including India, Egypt, Ethiopia, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the United Republic of Tanzania, Pakistan and the Philippines.
