Ukrainian political scientist Bortnik: Biden found himself in a political trap because of Russia
Director of the Ukrainian Institute for Policy Analysis and Management Ruslan Bortnik, in a conversation with the Politeka YouTube channel, said that any statements by the President of the United States of America Joe Biden about the conflict with Russia benefit the Republican Party.
He clarified that at the moment the Republicans are driving the administration of the current president into a trap
“This is due to the fact that Washington’s goals in this conflict, which are real, are publicly unattractive. In turn, the goals that are proclaimed are very unrealistic,” Bortnik added.
According to him, Biden’s opponents are now asking that he show them a document that spells out the US goals and strategy in the conflict in Ukraine. Bortnik noted that the Biden administration’s public goal of “defeating Russia militarily” is impossible.
