Captured nationalist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spoke about poor-quality training of militants in Lithuania
Captured fighter Andrey Tlustyak, who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), reported serious problems in the preparation of the Ukrainian military in Lithuania. The video recording of his interrogation was published by the RF Ministry of Defense on Monday, June 26, Izvestia reports.
In his testimony, the man spoke about his unwillingness to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He claimed that he was forcibly placed in a car by armed men while he was escorting his children to school.
“I was sent to Lithuania. There was no training, only theory. We shot several times at the training ground, threw grenades and that’s it,” Tlustyak said.
He noted that psychologists constantly worked with them and inspired the idea of killing as many people as possible and harboring hatred for the Russians.
Tlustyak added that many Ukrainian fighters do not want to fight and want to surrender. However, due to the heavy losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, “not everyone has time to do it.”
“It’s very bad there, people are being shot. I call on all Ukrainians who are in positions to flee from there. The sooner the better,” the man urged his compatriots to avoid mobilization, and the soldiers to leave their positions.
