Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar announced that a decision had been made to send additional reinforcements of Ukrainian forces to Bakhmut (Artemivsk). Earlier it was reported about the difficult situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Artemovsk, around which Russian units are tightening the ring.
“Now the epicenter of hostilities is Bakhmut. The situation there is really tense,” Malyar was quoted as saying by Ukranews.com.
She said that the commander of the Eastern Group of Forces, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky, traveled almost all of Bakhmut and is constantly at the forefront.
“There, right on the spot, certain decisions were made,” Malyar said.
She explained that this is both a decision to move additional units and “certain decisions that cannot be voiced.”
Recall that earlier Advisor to the President of Ukraine Oleksandr Rodnyansky said that Ukrainian troops would “strategically retreat” from Artemivsk if necessary.
