Lavrov discussed the G20 agenda with the Indian Foreign Minister

Russian and Indian Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Subrahmanyam Jaishankar discussed bilateral cooperation and the G20 agenda. About this Indian minister informed on your Twitter.
“There was a broad discussion with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. We exchanged views on our bilateral cooperation and G20 issues,” he wrote.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers Summit, Jaishankar added.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova published a joint photo of Lavrov and Jaishankar, however, the details of the negotiations at the time of publication of the note, the Russian side has not yet disclosed.
India is chairing the G20 this year. Earlier, Reuters, citing sources in the Indian government, reported that New Delhi doesn’t wantthat sanctions against Russia be discussed at meetings of the members of the club of states.
Following the end of February meeting of G20 finance ministers and central bankers, India indicated different points of view on the conflict in Ukraine. The final statement noted that the G20 is not a forum for addressing security issues, although “security issues can have significant implications for the global economy.”
