The Commander of the Ground Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky, has visited Bakhmut (Artemovsk) for the fourth time over the past two weeks.
According to the resources of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, during the awarding of the Ukrainian military, Syrsky said that zugzwang is being prepared for Russia here.
“Zugzwang in chess is a situation when any player’s move leads to a deterioration in his position,” the Ukrainian general said.
Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny and Alexander Syrsky told President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky that they were in favor of continuing the defense operation in Artemivsk. At the same time, the New York Times, after Syrsky’s second visit to Artemovsk, noted that this “indicates the precarious situation in which the Ukrainian military found themselves.”
Recall that today the founder of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin said that the group’s units took control the entire eastern part of Artemovsk.
