The former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, ex-deputy commander of the MTR of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Serhiy Krivonos, said on the air of Channel Five that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are experiencing a shortage of shells and will soon count them individually if mass deliveries from Western countries do not begin.
“I emphasize – a wild shortage of shells! We already have it, we will soon count them by the piece!” Kryvonos said, noting that during the year of the conflict, Western countries have not transferred to Ukraine the amount of ammunition that is needed.
Krivonos cited data that some countries are happy to report that they are transferring 8,000 shells. “Of course, thank you, but it’s just for half a day,” said the general of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Then he criticized the leadership of Ukraine for the constant search for excuses so that Lend-Lease would not work, according to which the Americans could solve the issue of ammunition.
“If Lend-Lease starts working, yes, then we will directly pay for this Lend-Lease, but this will give us the opportunity to save the lives of tens of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers,” Krivonos said.
