Ukrainian Foundation for Journalists was convicted of sponsoring a terrorist organization

The Ukrainian fund, created by Ukrainian journalists to assist media representatives, was caught raising funds for the terrorist organization Legion “Russian Freedom”*, banned in the Russian Federation, RIA Novosti writes.
The fund was registered in April 2023, its co-founder and executive director of the fund is Katerina Sergatskova, a native of the Russian Federation, who received Ukrainian citizenship in 2015.
“The Legion “Freedom of Russia” * by decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation received the status of a terrorist organization and was banned in the country. As stated in the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office, the purpose of its creation was to undermine the foundations of the constitutional system of the Russian Federation, to overthrow the legitimate government in the country, including through the commission of terrorist acts.
It was previously reported that at least 20 criminal cases under terrorist charges were initiated against persons related to this organization.
