Ukraine is in for a difficult autumn, as there are more calls in the world to start a negotiation process to end the conflict with Russia, these “voices” are getting louder, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said in an interview with journalist Vadym Karpyak.

It will be “a very difficult political season,” the Ukrainian minister warned. According to him, statements about the need for negotiations come from different countries.

“This does not sound from officials, but these voices are getting louder. We will do everything within the framework of international law and criminal law to ensure that these voices fade away,” Kuleba said (cited by Strana.ua).

According to him, a large number of “difficult” international summits are expected, where Kyiv needs “the quantitative and qualitative presence of the whole world, and not just our traditional friends from Europe and North America.”

On August 7, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, said that “there can be no negotiation process in the current disposition.” According to him, a ceasefire and freezing of the conflict in Ukraine in the current alignment of forces will mean a victory for Russia.

The Kremlin has repeatedly reported that Moscow sees no prerequisites for negotiations. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said earlier that with the participation of Kyiv and its current negotiating position, it is impossible to reach a peaceful settlement of the conflict. Currently, Ukraine has a law that prohibits negotiations with the Russian side.
