Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba spoke about Kyiv’s plans to “conquer the world”

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba, in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon (Rosfinmonitoring included him in the list of persons about whom there is information about their involvement in terrorism or extremist activities, was arrested in absentia) said that he headed the Foreign Ministry with the aim of “conquering the world.”

During the conversation, Kuleba recalled the people who had made the greatest impression on him when he headed the department, among them he recalled former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammatei. He called one of the main problems of Ukraine’s modern foreign policy that it is too “Euro- and American-centric”, while there are a lot of other interesting countries around.

“From the moment I became a minister, I had a dream of just opening these new horizons for Ukraine and for Ukrainians, who should see that there is a much bigger world. <...> This is the conquest of the world, yes, I just get high from it, ”Kuleba said. This wording was suggested to Kuleba by a journalist, who accepted it.

The head of the Foreign Ministry also said that he was “on the same wavelength” in this regard with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and noted that he constantly communicates with African and Latin American leaders. He also recalled that in early July, the first visit of the Prime Minister of Australia to Ukraine took place.

Now Kuleba is 41 years old, he took up the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs in March 2020, becoming the youngest Foreign Minister in the history of Ukraine. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
