The Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) called on the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to exclude the Russian Football Union (RFU) from organizations. This was reported by the press service of the UAF.

“We have brought to your attention the details of the next illegal actions of Russia against the Ukrainian state and football. In particular, attempts to integrate football clubs from the Crimea into the championships of Russia. Permission to carry out such actions actually demonstrates disregard for the position and decisions of FIFA and UEFA,” the statement said on the UAF website.

In this regard, the UAF insists that FIFA and UEFA take action and start looking for opportunities “to prevent this process from developing in the future.” The UAF also turned to organizations with a request to consider the possibility of depriving the RFU of membership due to “inconsistency with the requirements of the charters of the governing bodies of world and European football and the values of the global football family.”

After the annexation of Crimea to Russia in 2014, local clubs played in the regional championship, but did not take part in the All-Russian ones. In June, Sevastopol and Rubin clubs received National Football League certificates for playing in Division B of the Second League.
