Ukrainian authorities terminated the agreement with Russia on railway transport

The Ukrainian authorities unilaterally terminated the agreement with Russia on railway transport. This was announced by the representative of the Government of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk.
“The agreement between the government of Ukraine and the Council of Ministers – the government of the Russian Federation on coordinating the activities of railway transport has been terminated,” he wrote in his telegram channel.
The agreement was signed on May 14, 1993.
Melnichuk also said that the meeting approved a draft law concerning the railway transport agreement with Moldova. Thus, the parties plan to allow the transit of empty rolling stock of all forms of ownership and cargo without stopping on the Etulia-Reni-Giurgiulesti section.
